Laura Detre is an involved community member, a mother of two, and an experienced board member. She has served on the WCASD board since December 2021 where she is the chair of the Policy Committee as well as a member of the Teaching, Learning and Equity Committee. She is also the Membership Director for PFLAG West Chester/Chester County. Professionally, Laura is a historian and teaches at West Chester University. She also volunteers with Art Goes to School and Free Mom Hugs. She is married to Joseph and has two teenagers, Felix and Walter.
